The Sariska Palace is located less than a kilometre from the Sariska Tiger Reserve and National Park. It was built in 19th century by the Maharaja of Alwar. In the year 1955 the palace was converted into forest reserve and was made a national park in the year 1982, yet today it consists of the royal charisma and ambience it used to have earlier. Sariska palace is nuzzled amongst the Aravalli ranges and spread in about 100 acres. This heritage hotel was once popular as hunting spot for Maharajas and today it is a lavishing hotel comprising of imperial French architecture, modern amenities to provide its patrons with the royal touch. The Sariska Palace is a 3 star level heritage hotel and is set amidst a vast expanse of trees and wildlife.
The palace is spread across 120 acres of well maintained land and manicured lawns. The hotel offers a little over 100 rooms and is a perfect getaway for the weekend, mostly visited by foreign tourists and people traveling in groups on packages. The rooms at Sariska Palace are divided into four areas they are Queen's Corner, Lord's Corner, Haveli and the Main Palace. All the rooms are air conditioned, with the summer heat, the rooms take a long time to cool. The Queen's Corner has a total of 20 rooms with attached washrooms. All the rooms have marble flooring and are furnished with twin beds. Basic amenities like a tea/coffee maker and a telephone are also included. The Queen's Corner is situated next to the swimming pool and the Health and Rejuvenation Centre. The Lord's Corner has a total of 13 rooms and is located close to the Main Palace. The rooms are carpeted and have an attached changing area and bathroom along with the basic amenities. The Haveli is an area with a rectangle courtyard and a lawn with the rooms surrounding this courtyard. There are 35 rooms in this area with wooden flooring in the rooms attached bathrooms and changing rooms. The Main Palace has 35 rooms that have a mix of carpeted and marble flooring along with amenities available in other room categories. The facilities Sariska Khazana is the gift shop within the premises of the palace which is a swirl of loud beautiful colours. Other features within the Sariska Palace are 3 conference rooms namely The Darbar Hall, Jai Mahal and Shiv Mahal with a seating capacity of up to 200 people.
