Mount Abu

Mount Abu Mount Abu is a famous attraction for both domestic and international visitors. Mount Abu is a hill station in Sirohi district in the state of Rajasthan.
It is the only hill station in the state of Rajasthan and is the summer capital of the state. This mountain is generally known as the hill of wisdom.

It is situated at an average height of 1,219m, making it the highest peak in the Aravali range of Rajasthan and also north-west India. Mount Abu’s history has been in the mythology since centuries.Mount Abu has been home to many sages and saints. Guru Shikhar is just 15km from the main town.Winter season is the best time to visit Mount Abu.

Places to visit
Dilwara Jain Temple is a complex temple carved of white marble .It was built between the 11th and 13th centuries A.D. It is one of the finest Jain temple known all over for its architecture and marvelous marble stone carvings. Dilwara Temple is open from 12pm to 3pm for tourist’s for free.Photography is not allowed inside the temple complex. The temple consists of five major sections devoted to five Jain Trithankaras (saints). They are Shri Mahaveer Swami Temple, Shri Adi Nath Temple, Shri Parshavanath Temple, Shri Rishabdaoji Temple and Shri Luna Vasahi Temple.

Nakki Lake is an artifical lake suitated at a height of 1200 meter’s above sea level on the bank of an overhearing rock- The Toad rock which resembles a frog ready to plunge down below. It is the perfect place to spend time with your partner, friends and family. In the evening the setting sun makes a pictureques view. Motor boats and normal boats are available for a ride in the lake.

Adhar Devi Temple is dedicated to Goddess Durga. This temple is situated in a cave and it can be reached by crawling through a smallopening into the cave. It is one of the popular religious themed tourist destination in the region. As well as a common destination for many religion pilgrimages.
The temple has a flight of 200 steps and the destination offers a serene and rewarding view.

The nearest airport is Dabok Airport which is 104km away from Mount Abu.

Mount Abu can be travelled by rail . Abu road railway station is the nearest station lies between Delhi and Mumbai.

Mount Abu is well connected to the major cities via Delhi, Ajmer, Udaipur, Jaipur and Bundi. Regular buses are available which are run by the Government and other private operators.
