Manvar Desert Camp

The Manvar Desert Camp is located 6 kms from the resort in the midst of the wilderness surrounded by the sand dunes is the remoted splendor of the Manvar Tented Desert Camp. The beauty is breathtaking and the feeling of viewing a sunset in the midst of the sand dunes is hard to describe. The Manvar Desert Camp consists of 30 colourfully decorated, safari-style tents arranged in a semi-circle around a central ‘Durbar Hall’. Each of these tents is carefully placed for commanding views over the desert wilderness. They are very luxurious more like mini-marquees with smart polished traditional camping-style teak furniture, rich jute rugs and lovely custom designed block-printed tent linings.

The Camp consists of 30 safari-style tents, with attached tiled bathrooms. The tents are arranged in a semi-circle and for those seeking more privacy, there are 10 Deluxe Tents situated about 400 meters away from the main camp. Indian Meals are provided in the strategically located dining tent. Evenings are livened up by camp fire, mashaals (fire torches), and local musicians and dancers. You can enjoy camel safaris or 4x4 wheels Jeep safari into the desert exploring the desert wildlife and the local villages. Enjoy sundowners on camelback and lively dinners with folk music and dance. Or you can even take excursions to nearby Bishnoi village- a clan of desert folk who have become synonymous with conservation of wildlife, flora and delicate ecosystems within which they thrive today.

How to reach

The closest airport is at Jodhpur which is 110 kms and 2 hours drive from the Resort. Jodhpur is well connected to New Delhi and Mumbai with daily flights. The flying time from Jodhpur to Delhi is one hour thirty minutes and from Mumbai to Jodhpur is 2 hours.

Jodhpur is the nearest railway station and it is well connected to Delhi and Mumbai, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.

Manvar Resort is located in between Jodhpur and Jaislamer, in Rajasthan province in northwest India. The resort is 110 kilometers from Jodhpur (90 minutes) and 175 kms from Jaisalmer (2 hours) and 225 kms from Bikaner (2 hours 30 minutes).
