Lake Palace, Udaipur

Lake Palace is also known as Jag Niwas. It is located in the Island of Jag Niwas in Udaipur. It was built by Maharana Jagat Singh II in 1746. Lake Palace boosts of a romantic atmosphere as it is set between the calm waters.

It was meant as a royal summer palace andis now converted into a five star palace hotel. The Lake Palace is a beautifulpalace , arising out of the turquoise water of the Pichola lake like a elegant fantasy in white marbles. With long Courtyardpillar terraces, gardens and fountains at every corner of the palace pampers you with royalty.

Stone work arches and mirror works make more beautiful and attractive palace and make it more noticeable. There is also a palaces museum that displays a fin collection of royal artefacts and antiques. Palaces has some special rooms such as Khush Mahal, Bada MAhal, Ajjan Niwas, Dhola Mahal, Phool Mahal. The rooms are more noticeable with painting, arches, glass work and colourful stones. The walls of the palaces have been ornamented with glasswork and stonework in Arabic style.
